Mike Marchio, Master Tailor
26 Years Mike is a living legend in the Twin Cities alteration community. His talents and his willingness to mentor those around him, have shaped our tailor shop into what we believe to be one of the very best in the country. An Italian immigrant, Mike and his wife raised 4 children, putting all of them through private schools and college. Mike has been working in the men's clothing business for 50 years!
Sandi Schildgen, Seamstress
8 Years Sandi is Mike Marchio's chief of staff. An outstanding sewer and fitter, she has been working at Mike's side, absorbing all of the minutiae that allows her to handle the shop when Mike takes his 6 week vacation to Italy to visit relatives each year. Sandi boasts an outstanding resume with 30 years of experience in alterations.
Mue Nguyen, Seamstress
7 Years Hue is an immigrant from Vietnam. Both she and her husband Dehn have been in the Twin Cities alteration community for over 10 years. Lilly (an affectionate nickname given to her by Mike) received her United States citizenship in 2006. She is multitalented, able to do almost any alteration.
Nancy Alfaro, Seamstress
1 Year Our resident rookie, Nancy has worked for Hubert White for only one year, but has over 30 years of experience doing alterations on men's clothing. She is a lifelong resident of the Twin Cities and a graduate of Minneapolis Vocational Institute.
Eduardo Barrenechea, Presser & Finisher
2 Years Eduardo is a native of Peru and has lived in the United States for 15 years. He is an accomplished presser and finisher, often acknowledged as the most important part of the alteration process. Hey, if it doesn't look great at the end, not much else matters. |
